Serving Children & Families Across Oklahoma
Cheryl Hall, M.Ed., LMFT
I am a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist with a Masters degree in education and professional studies from the University of Central Oklahoma. I also hold a bachelors degree in secondary education. During graduate school I was active in NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), where I trained in Family Group facilitation and co-led weekly support meetings for families of those affected by mental illness. I am a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and seek to network with other therapists in learning about solutions/techniques to assist my clients in reaching their goals. In addition, I have recently joined the North American Association of Masters in Psychology. My special interests include Trauma-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Although I enjoy working with people of all ages, I especially delight in working with adolescents and adults. When working in school-based settings, I utilize a team approach with school personnel and work closely with parents and staff to ensure that students’ needs are met. My therapeutic approach is person-centered. I seek to help individuals and families identify how the past affects the present, endeavoring to build on that foundation in order to find insight, understanding and a preferred “new story”. My husband and I have been married for 42 years. We have one son and daughter-in-law and two beautiful grandchildren, ages nine and six.
